i almost picked up the XB1 AC bundle today at costco where its only $330, but my friend said to wait since you get a $50 gift card from target for black friday. however, if i gotta go to the store for that then forget it. i'm not dealing with the crowds and shit.

when they roll out the new models and want to get rid of the "old" ones. there will occasionally be a good black friday deal but it's usually better to wait for the price drops at the beginning of the next year
also don't rule out buying an open box model. i bought my 50" panasonic plasma a few years back for ~$300 off retail through amazon warehouse deals. it was discounted because it had minor cosmetic damage on the back and side. the screen wasn't affected and that's the only part of the tv that really matters. it wasn't very used either; maybe 20 hours of use, according to the service menu. i've had no problems with it since i got it
that's a great price for sure. I'm probably trying to stay under 1k too. I do like this 60" Samsung (would prefer a Samsung if possible since I like their Smart tv system) as well but it's 1.3k
Breaking News: Walmart Stores Will Match Online Prices With Amazon! Old Navy's Second Annual Overnight Millionaire Giveaway For Black Friday 2014, Walmart Stores Inc. is formalizing the practice of matching the price of online retailers, including Amazon. The company informed managers of stores across the United States on November 13th that the practice is approved.
This is big news for Walmart shoppers, since previously the price matching polices officially only matched other brick-and-mortar stores. Greg Foran, President and CEO of Walmart U.S., told Reuters that half the stores were already doing this anyway.
Since Amazon traditionally sets it's price just below the big box stores during the Black Friday season, and they've been pushing for same-day delivery in select major cities - it's a smart move for Wal-Mart to give customers more incentive to shop in-house.

Not a big gamer these days, but I know I want to play the Red Dead Redemption sequel very very very badly when it drops, so I figure I'll cop the system at a decent discount for the time being. I hope I get some good replay value from GTAV as I wait for the RDR sequel to drop. Out of boredom I'll probably cop the eventual RDR reboot while I wait for the sequel to drop later on in 2015.

"Bad" graphics look BAD.
I miss my 2560x1600 (Those extra 520 vertical pixels make a huge difference.)
This makes me think the RiMac (Retina iMac at 5120x3200) is the way to go in the future (or at least until display port 1.3a (or USB Type-C connectors with Displayport are introduced.
I set it to run at 30Hz to see what those cheapie 4K monitors look like it 30Hz is almost unusable.

For those who don't already own Titanfall they got the damn Deluxe Edition for only $12.49 right now on the XOne store. I just copped The Walking Dead season 1 and 2 for $24.99. Hopefully my slow internet will have it downloaded by morning. Couldn't beat that price.

I got in on that and UFC. I even went to the PS3 and scooped a couple things too.
I really need to sit down and make myself plays some games. My library is pretty insane between XB1, 360, PS2, and PS3...all of which are connected to TVs in my house. I played Killer Instinct for a solid 1.5 hours. I was getting worked by the comprooter, but I still had a good time. And the game is distractingly good-looking. But I dissolve into spam and button mashing when the funk hits the fan in close matches. I have to get comfortable, slow it down, and get the announcer krunk every time I get a chance.
I had to talk myself out of getting a Wii or WiiU..it just didn't make sense to add to the list of games I have but don't play. And there wer no 'get this right now' deals that I saw. And besides...my youngin has a 3DS that she barely plays, so I rolled up on a Mario game on Ebay for $10. That'll do.

Had an external HD on my wish list but never got around to buying it. Some of the TV deals looked good, I'm fine with my tv situation though. If my main goes down then I might go with something bigger in my main room, otherwise I'm set for a while.
Only other thing I want as a completely unnecessary thing is a macbook air or surface pro 3. Haven't seen any real good deals on either yet.
