DAMMIT. Games I didn't even have on my radar look like they're turning out to be gems left and right so far this fall. Ugh. I might have to download this tonight. Been years since I've played a good survival horror game.

Glad we finally have another survival horror game that's pretty decent. Fired this game up last night and the first couple of minutes I was running for my life and on edge.
I also died a lot, which wasn't frustrating at all because like Dark Souls you remember your path and enemy placement, although things like enemy placement can change slightly I never felt like the game cheated me at all, I just had to learn how to get around certain areas using the minimum amount of ammo. The game hardly gives you any so stealth is a must unless you absolutely can not.
Can't wait to get into more of this. Feels like its not for everyone but it feels right up my ally.

I digs. I just dont like feeling like im playing a HD version of a current-gen game on my shiny new "Next- Gen" console. The last of Us on PS3 is on par with this on the PS4.
Old school survival horror game. Not the best ever but not the worse with some pretty freaky ass scenes.
Play on survivor (normal). All I'll say is Chapter 10 really broke my gamer spirt and had me wanting to just not play games ever again. Prob some of the hardest shit I've ever had to do in a video game. Took a little of my soul with that one.

I just really started this joint. But good lawd. I sat up late the other night playing this and was getting murdered. Dude chasing you with the chainsaw makes you feel helpless as hell. They did a good job with the ambiance in this.
>Dead Space was "holy crap this makes me uneasy" stress > >This is "WHY DO I KEEP ****ING DYING?!" stress > >Still enjoyed it though.
*spoilers*
Finished chapter 1
Chainsaw guy was a lot more stressful than RE4 guy He killed me often at the beginning until I finally decided just have to sneak away and not stab him
Running from to get on the elevator Fuck man, I know this is survival survival horror but hopefully somewhere down the line I can get enough firepower to do some damage sometimes

It's not Dark Souls hard, but its kinda close to it.
The no map thing isn't that bad, just gotta sneak it use what you can. It's a trail and error style game where if you die you know what not to do next time.
That area you're talking about just take it very slow. If you get seen then try to run off and hide until it's safe again. Check the entire map I think there are some key items you need to find first before you can even try to get the chainsaw.
It gets a lot more frustrating later on. I was streaming this one night and I spent an hour on one boss and people stayed because they knew how hard it was going to be and wanted to see it downed after so many attempts.
When I beat it, I felt like I actually accomplished something.

Well, though I enjoyed it, I now don't remember much that happened after chainsaw guy, at least not all chronologically
Invisible guys are anxiety provoking, but my usual method with them is the flashbang and then stab. They aren't shit when you utilize that
That fucking bitch with the hair Ran in circles forever after using up all of the fire trying to get here in the 2nd pit (one where you have to duck under door then climb ladder. She was too fast. Thought only fire could hurt her. Finally started using regular weapons and the explosive arrow ended her eventually. Fuck her
I like this game, but I still don't know what the hell is going on. Partners disappearing / coming back. I'm starting to want more back story. I'm starting to think some Shutter Island shit is going on.
Fighting the giant twins was fun Sniper Rifle is lethal Powered up harpoon arrow is great (on level 3 with that)
This game sometimes reminds me of Castlevania 64 for some reason

As justification for the world, The Matrix / Inception / The Cell hybrid
I really enjoyed and am pretty sad that I am done Have too many games to play through but will revisit it when the added content is released
I felt probably fully competent after chapter 9 in this game If you upgrade good enough you don't feel as helpless after that Chapter 9 by the way, fuck Ruvik He only killed me twice and only because I wanted to see if he would find me hiding (tried under the bed twice)
9 was pretty much the last Chapter with a creep factor I think though
Died 86 times in 25 hours
Please upgrade the harpoon to at least level 4 In the subway chapter I shot fake Ruvik at the top of the escalator and his body flew and he got stuck to the ceiling, weight of his body leaving him slumped. Watching the routine zombies fly away from that shit is great. It also kills Safeman in two shots
