seems like a legit deal. i kinda want a PS4, or I just dont want to buy a new system in general, but we will see how my patience holds up week 1 of the season.
anyone excited? Franchise mode (offline ((my favorite thing about the game)) seems to be revamped with a lot better options.

It takes alot for me to pay for Madden...
4 out of the last 5 years, I won it in a tournament Wal-Mart normally does. Last year I paid because of NFL Sunday Ticket and the one that Walmart gave away didn't include it.
One of the following things have to happen for me to pay for Madden:
-A Carolina Panther is on the cover which has come close the past few years
-They offer NFL Sunday Ticket included in the game
-2K has the ability to make a NFL Licensed game so it forces EA to compete
Until then, I'm saving my money for other games coming out this year...

I played it some in Gamestop and I agree with their review. I really liked playing on defense with the camera facing the offense. I played as a DE, hit the right combo of face buttons, slid down the line to the opposite side and sacked the qb on the goal line; I wouldn't have ever been able to do on the old Madden. I think it will make defense fun and put u in more control.
I need more time with the play calling. I wasn't really using the menus right and just selecting Madden plays.
The physics are still comical. U can shoestring tackle someone and send them flying.
Had some real big money days recently so I said what the hell let's give it a shot. Full game didn't get installed before I went to sleep last night but I played a scrimmage game as the Seahawks and liked everything I saw. The way they open the game up is really clever, too, and the practice drills are excellent for anyone who's taken a few seasons off.

The stupid looking animations are comical and the presentation is awful. Finally can do somethings on defense, Gautlet is awesome to play. Tutorials are great. 7/10

As someone that hasn't played Madden since early I'm the last gen I'm happy to be back in the fold. I really like what they've done with defense. I actually feel in control to the point that I can actually get user INTs.
Connected franchise seems cool. I'm doing the Coach version. It'd be nice if we could get a league going. Though Lach and I would have to fight over the Pats
Heard Best Buy was taking Madden 25 for $25 (ps4) and $15 (ps3) towards a trade-in. Any better deals out there?

Menus and Play selection feel clunky, slow, and unresponsive. Is ps4 like that?
Gameplay is ok, I think this is my first madden since 05/06 when the 360 launched, not a lot has changed, but it feels a little slower, and running the ball is more challenging.
I noticed it's almost impossible to call audibles on defense when opponent is in hurry up. Must be a glitch, or it stems from the menu problem.
I'll keep playing for now, but this might be the wake up call that I should upgrade to ps4

graphics I've seen on this version of Madden are so crazy I'm thinking about jumping back in...
So for someone who hasn't played console games in 10+ years, should I jump in with PS4 or Xbox One? I'm literally only gonna buy the system for Madden - don't have time to get into a bunch of different games. Don't care about price.
but if you think there's a CHANCE you might buy another game sometime (like NBA 2K or MLB The Show or whatever) then consider the PS4. Multi-platform games generally perform better on it, PS+ is a better program than XBox Live and the controller (IMO) is better.
but if all you'll ever play is Madden NFL 15 it's hard to argue against a free copy of it.
25. "I suppose at this point it's only track record." In response to Reply # 19
PS4 PS+ vs. XBox One Gold has been pretty neck and neck from what I can tell. But the past two years of PS+ got me back into gaming. 3/4 games I've played the past two years (as someone who spent most of my PS3's life cycle buying Rockstar games and NBA 2K) were PS+ titles.
but these days, it seems a little more competitive.
21. "no streaming this year?" In response to Reply # 0
No way I'm getting it then. Last year I got it for the streaming login. I eventually decided to install it and my 360 scratched the disc so it wouldn't play. I never got to play the game once and didn't even care. Looks like another year of garbage.

To me, it takes months before you know what you have with Madden. You have to let the cheap cats get their paws on it to show you the worst of the game before you use what is there to bring out the best in the game to shut down the bullshit.
If you're still operating where bullshit > what the game gives you to combat it months later, then Madden isn't good that year. Sure, tourney cats are almost all bullshit. Fuck that and them...not my steez. I'm talking about dealing with the average to slightly above average crowd...cats who play Madden a bunch and certainly have their crutch/$ plays, teams and concepts, but they aren't showing up with 4 plays on offense, masterbatory no huddle the whole game, shenanigan blitzes and special team stuff.
32. "Same here. First Madden since 08." In response to Reply # 31
I know people like to harp on EA for phoning it in each year, but at least a '08 to '15 transition seems drastic to me. The animations and flow of players' movements seem much more realistic to me, and things like legit option pitches and things like that is really cool. I used to be able to easily put up 60 on the computer on All Madden in 08, but I'm currently struggling on All Madden in 15. Maybe I should take it down a bit and acclimate myself first.
One thing I do dislike is the orientation of the playbook, however. It seems much harder to look at 3 plays vertically as opposed to a horizontal orientation. I often myself taking more time and picking the wrong play a lot. Also, I feel like I hardly have enough time to pick a defensive play compared to older versions.
33. "i am loving this game!" In response to Reply # 0
since i usually just do the regular old offline franchise, i decided to control a player and see if it is fun. I have having BRET FAVRE IN THE POCKET with this game (a lot of fun)
for the offensive player, i chose Johnny Manziel. he is fun to play with actually, runs quick, throws excellent on the run. i did a fantasy draft and was picked by the Titans, who selected Keenan Allen, Mike Wallace, and Tyler Eifert, with Sproles out of the backfield (making my offense just ridiculously lethal) won 5 awards with Manziel as i just finished the regular season (14-2), including MVP and OPOY. broke some records
for defense i did the Honey Badger. again did a fantasy draft, taken by the Panthers. defensive mode is way more difficult, but its fun to tackle and attempt picks. I am gettin better.
i love this game tho. I got the xb1, this game, xblgold, and a $50 gift card for $374 tax included!! smokin deal. i just had to turn in my dusty and old PS3 for a hundred dollar credit.
