-Will run at 60 FPS (even in 3D), however assist trophys and pokemon will move at 30
stages are different in each version (some stages are the same but feature a different design)
-3DS version only has 2 songs attached to each stage
-there will be elements that link both versions together (however they did not elaborate on what these will be)
-3DS stages include: Reset Bomb Forest (Kid Icarus: Uprising), 3D Land (Mario 3D Land), Spirit Train (Spirit Tracks), Gerudo Valley (Ocarina of Time), Arena Ferox (Fire Emblem: Awakening), Tortimer Island (Animal Crossing: New Leaf), Living Room (Nintendogs), Prism Tower (Pokemon X/Y), Raibow Road (It looks like Mario Kart 7), Find Mii, Balloon Fight, Jungle Japes (Donkey Kong)
-Wii U stages include: Mario Galaxy, Pyrosphere (Metroid), Town and City (animal cross), Boxing Ring (Punch Out), Pilot Wings, Skyloft (skyward sword), Windy hill (Sonic: lost world), Garden of Hope (pikmin 3), Wii Fit studio, Palutena's temple (kid icarus), Halberd (Kirby),
-Wily's castle features the yellow devil from Mega Man 2 as a stage hazard
-Other boss characters appear in some stages (none were announced, but it's safe to safe that a shadow of Ridley can be seen on the Metroid Stage)
-Both systems feature online play with friends and strangers. However, Sakurai stated that a wireless connection will not be great for online play and we might have to find a LAN adapter
-two game modes for onlineplay; For Fun (Random stages, all items, smash battles only, only wins are recorded), and For Glory (Final destination, no items, 1 on 1 battles, wins and losses are recorded)
-when playing with friends, you can set whatever rules you like
-Almost all stages have a Final Destination Form (Flat surface, no platforms, no stage hazards)
-You can report and ban players that are trolling matches, and unjust reports can also be banned
-Ranking system takes place as the "Global Smash Power" and tells you how many people you outscore
-matchmaking is based on skill level
-New assist trophies include Dark Samus, Chain Chomp, Isabelle, and elec man
-Rare and legendary pokemon come out of a master ball (New Pokemon include Arceus, Eevee, Fennekin, Meloetta, Gogoat, Kyurem, Victini, Keldeo, Xerneas)
-Shiek and Zero suit Samus are now independent characters
-Many moves have been changed for the characters (I believe this has been a way to better balance the game. I highly suggest watching this part of the Direct if you are into that sort of thing)
-Lucario can Mega Evolve
-Yoshi has been revealed
-Sakurai talked about the moves for the new characters (Rosalina, Little Mac, etc.) I recommend watching the Mega Man move set since there is too much to talk about
-You can make custom move sets (only when playing with friends)
-3DS only game mode called smash run
-Charizard and Greninja are new characters

Saving Wii U till holidays will likely help them sell Wii Us and get some impulse buyers that already have the 3DS version.

Because if they do legit release the 3DS version in the summer...I don't trust those guys releasing the Wii U version on time...I could see them completely miss Christmas again...

But it looks good, and it's pretty fun to watch. Do people take this to EVO? Or is there some underlying shitty Nintendo-ness that keeps it from being competitive?

but this version doesn't have a 2nd stick to take advantage of the more advanced moves

The animation of the moves look cool, but I don't really know what I'm doing, never played a Smash Bros game before. All seems a bit too frantic for me.

he's is wayyy too powerful...

you can't fucking recover. once you're off the edge, you're gone.

i've thrown myself off the edge so many times with the forward B move accidentally (because of course you should be playing a 2d game with an analog stick)

and yes that forward B sucks...but I think on Wii U I can clean that up...tough playing on the 3DS...

Forward B to get closer...Up B to hop up...
