Is so, so good. 1080P 60FPS locked and is Nintendo, many a year late, getting a bead on HD gaming in a way I think many Nintendo fans have long been hoping for. It has been reviewing quite well also. That all being said, this shit is bananas! Anyone else cop it, or are at least considering it?

Old SNES, N64 games? Yeah. Now I'm mad I didn't grab that Wii U I saw on Craigslist for $150 last week. Maybe they'll be a sale this weekend or something. I know you guys haven't been playing it much, but I'm not a gamer that buys a ton of games anyway. I sit on my joints for YEARS. I can rock 2-3 games for a long long time.
Sucks that it doesn't play Gamecube games. I've heard so much amazing stuff about that Metroid series.

was a big fan of the 3d mario game on the 3ds and this looks great. im hoping nintendo gets around to releasing HD ports of mario galaxy 1 and 2. i only got to play 1 before i get rid of my wii.

...watching the PS4 demo next to the Nintendo demo, it was quite fucking sad to see that Nintendo's demo was pretty much shitting on the PS4 with that super mario shit looking very lovely.
Wii U is bleh to be hardware wise but Nintendo's hitmaking on their 1st titles will get them a nice niche on 3rd spot if not making spoilers into #2 at someone's expense.

Nintendo in HD is indeed a generation late, but now that they seemed to have gotten their footing, it's really impressive. Plus 1080P 60FPS with that art style, so good.

Love the game and dig the system along w/ my PS4. The great Nintendo games always come with that charm lol! I never finished Wind Waker on GameCube, but that's the next one I want. Wondering if there will be any sales this weekend?

I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the Gamecube, mainly because I have very distinct memories of KIND OF enjoying what Nintendo was doing on that console (Wind Waker was amazing, I actually never played Sunshine outside of friends' houses, I can't remember anything else I played on that system) and then when Resident Evil 4 got announced for PS2 I just gave up on the thing.
--Twin Snakes was pretty cool as a MGS diehard at the time, but also mostly a novelty in retrospect.
--The Rogue Squadron games were really impressive graphically but I was fine just renting.
--Metroid Prime was really cool.
--Animal Crossing always just made me want to play more Harvest Moon.
--Eternal Darkness was INSANE.
there's a few more, but in my MEMORY, that system was an HD Resident Evil box with the best ending to a Zelda game ever on the side. and nothing about the Wii ever sucked me in. I hate to say it but it's going to take a lot more than one great Mario game to suck me back in, though the idea that I could play both Galaxy games on a WiiU as well does make the thing more tempting.

The catsuit is a blast, and you can throw baseballs too? lol.
I want to finish the game first then go back and get all the stars & stamps, but it's very hard to resist the urge to keep replaying a level until you've obtained everything. I'm using the Wiimote + Classic Controller, I think the gamepad's a bit cumbersome. No triple jump is a bit disappointing. Haven't had the chance to try multiplayer yet, hopefully I can convince the wife to give it a go.
I really hope the dev team is working on a Galaxy game right now. Shit I'll even settle for HD versions of the originals.
