"you can really tell when a programming book is useful"
Used thinking in java to learn java and it threw in a lot of commonlicated shit at you all at once to the point that it was really frustrating to read it But it had examples so I did learn from it
Currently reading the language of Sql by Larry rockoff and either sql is really easy or this is a really good book or both
I got one on android from the company than does the black and white animals on the cover. It goes into lots of concepts but doesn't have that many examples
I hate books like that
I'm working now and I got amazon prime so I'm just going to be buying a lot of shit

Only a third of the way through, it's a long ass book! It really is quite helpful so far, made me ashamed of some of the stuff I've written in the past. Any other recommendations of similar books?

and I believe you said in another thread that I should look into Linux to start. I really have no real experience using Linux. Most of my background is front-end stuff.
Getting a masters in applied statistics right now. Working with Minitab which is hot garbage but trying to learn the regression stuff on R. You doing it at all?
