Google gets 5 bucks a month from me for 100 GB Dropbox gets a hundred bucks a year for 57 GB iCloud... well, let's not talk about iCloud because it's kind of shitty and useless (like how could you be LESS useful than MobileMe, which was the fucking quadriplegic leper of cloud storage services)
Google's prices are fantastic
I'm finding their online interface and desktop application kind of terrible though.

(I think everyone here knows I think Google are scumbags - this was reconfirmed for me this week.)
I had signed up last year for the $5 dollars for 20GB of space for Google.
This year I got an email saying that the year was almost up and that the plan I was using is no longer available and a link to manage my plans.
So I looked at how much space I was using and it was under the free threshold so I decided to NOT renew.
I clicked on the link Google had sent, and could find absolutely no way to opt-out of my plan -- but there was some text that said something like "Your plan is no longer offered, if you do not choose another plan we will not renew your storage, and your accounts may become disabled until you delete some files."
So, I thought to myself "Myself, it looks like you don't have to do anything. There is no cancel button to click. The plan will expire and you won't be charged and you aren't using the extra storage so everything will be okay."
Then I get this email:
--- Hi there,
Our records indicate that you've elected to renew your Google Paid Storage subscription for an additional year. However, we were unable to process the payment using the default credit card provided in your Google Checkout account.
At this time, your quota has been downgraded to the Basic Plan. If you would like to continue using paid storage, you can upgrade your account at any time by visiting your account management page. If you have any questions, please visit our help center.

So they AGAIN tried to bill me for something I did not want. They've hidden or obscured the option to cancel/not renew my plan, then they try to automatically bill me .
Once you give Google your credit card number they will bill you even when you do not want them to bill you.
They are either bad at customer service, SCUMBAGS, or both.
