Other than that the list looks legit. But not having Macho Man in there hurts its credibility A LOT when youre going for a LEGENDS series. But other than that the game looks good so far.

It's developed by the SmackDown guys (Yukes), but SmackDown has morphed into a completely different beast from the days of COMBO, COMBO, COMBO... FINISHER, AND SUBMISSIONS STAY ON FOR A SECOND.
The games that were closest to N64 play were the GameCube WWE games, especially the last two (but it was even more frustrating in spaces)

Steamboat surprises me, considering he works for the WWE, so they could have put him in if they wanted to. Diesel and Foley are with TNA, so they can't be used. Everyone else apparently didn't make the cut.

that and Hawk's death still must've garnered a decent amount of attention - i stopped paying attention to wrestling around that time, so i kinda don't know how they paid tribute.
I did the Hulk vs. Andre the Giant sim this morning. The controls are kinda weird and the quick-time events are stupid. I'd rather just beat the shit out of each other without some impromptu mini-game starting each time.

Like I said above, I haven't played a wrestling video game since the ones on N64, but this shit is disappointing. For a demo, you shouldn't have to keep pausing the game to check the moves list.

they are making raw vs smackdown more arcade-like to appeal to kids. i thought this would be different since u figure that this game would appeal to older folks.

for example, the QTE-esque gameplay allows for more fluid, realistic finishers. the Stunner starts with the Lou Thesz press, into the fist pummeling, into the bird, into the stunner.
same for the big boot/leg drop combo.
but at the same time, its damn near impossible to throw the dude outta the ring, or run. and most of the early moves you land are just strikes.
i dont know. ima still cop. but i wish they woulda clipped the real broadcast vocals of Gorilla and Jesse, for example, instead of having JR and King call the older matches. But i dont know if thats even possible.
and if Triple Hache ends up with a higher rating than Stone Cold, whose listed at "87", im writing a letter.

actually, its kinda fun. the trophies are mad easy to get, which is kind of a bummer, and there's only 2 bronze. The rest are silver and gold.
i played for about 4 hours last night, and im already about half way through completing everything.
the fact that you cant take a wrestler off SVR09 and take them through legend killer mode kinda sucks, but my created wrestler (Dick "The Horseman" Nasty) will be top tier pretty soon.
once you get the hang of the controls, its incredibly easy. but i would much prefer the controls of the SVR series to the face button only approach.
still, if youre a wrestling fan, its pretty cool to get to play as all these legends. ive read that Ricky Steamboat is unlockable, but i havent actually ventured to see if thats true yet.
