Silent hill 4 was super creepy....the sounds had me shook, i only played it two days...i didn't think being scared ****less was worth dealing with the crappy controls.

It was seriously hard for me to play these at night....and cotdamn, these games took me so many hours to finish because I was literally inching forward step by step by step lol.

I took Fatal Frame back after about 20 minutes because I refused to experience it.
I hate horror movies, by the way, I'm not sure why I was into scary games as a kid. It was Resident Evil's fault, really, those games were just so cool. I wish they were still about survival.

I picked it up in the Steam sale and it's widely considered one of the scariest games out there. Haven't fired it up yet, waiting till I get a free night.

When those starter Aliens would crawl on the floor the craw up your face (the screen) controllers would go flying across my room. Never left the first damn board.

I only played that game late at night, on my laptop, and most importantly with headphones. The sound design on that game is fantastic.
There were times when I had to stop playing mid chapter because I was so damn shock, I couldn't move or aim properly.
Haven't played the sequel yet, but it kinda saddens me the direction they're going with in part 3. Making Issac into a meathead in part 2 was probably a sign, but the game seems more Gears of War now, even though the developers are still telling us that it will be scary

dead space 2 is amazing, just like 1. ign recently did a hands on article saying not to worry, ds3 will deliver. i can't wait. the first 2 games are 2 of the best games i've ever played.
