than iPhoto, particularly in the reds.

Even still, this post is false. I can keep my photos anywhere I want to on my drive in Picasa; iPhoto copies aliases (aliai?) to your home folder for each item you import, and doesn't do watch folders.

I can delete files off the camera without having to download them; a (surprising) requirement with iPhoto.

how do I get picassa to look the same. i'd rather them have vibrant color like the original pics than that faded non colorsafe bleach shit.

If you don't feel the images are brilliant enough, either program lets you pump up the color saturation.

It got to be so buggy, I just pretty much stopped using it to store my camera photo's and left em all on the external harddrive .

When they finally released Picassa for mac, it was a dawn of a new day for me.

finally released Picasa for Mac.

I searched through literally every photo-viewing program I could find for the Mac looking for a Picasa replacement.

Picasa just handled everything so perfectly: digital camera management, screensaver creation, insta-collages, management of images for work, *ahem* pr0n, etc...

I'm so glad to have it back. It was almost as fulfilling as getting Logic Pro back after buying a Mac. For THAT shit, I basically had candles lit and "Reunited" playing in the background.

Like, editing photos for clients...I actually prefer its color controls to Photoshop's.
But Picasa is better for more casual tasks. I mean, it's kind of overkill to use Lightroom to organize trip photos, or to survey and lust over 20 hot pictures of *insert girl/guy here*

Google Photo has some dope features like search but I don't want to upload all my photos to the google cloud.

I want those new google photos features in picasa. I want every time my phone is on my local network all the photos on my phone backup to my desktop via picasa (But Google wants everything the other way around. I can easily set up autosync'ing to upload to the cloud.).

Got me wondering if there are alternatives to picasa I should be considering.
