"*this* close to my 2nd income stream, closing in on my 3rd."
It's crazy how this shit all fell together (after me working my ASS off for like 2 years)
I work for a start-up that has great ppl and great perks but NOT great pay. Right now, we're in cut back mode because we're on the march to profitability, one of the reasons why they brought me on.
Now awhile back I applied for a gubment job - which pays FAR better and has better benefits, that shit just now came through. Now I know they want to keep me, and I've made it VERY clear that I could do this job in about 3 days a week, (really its like 1.5, by why tempt fate) I JUST talked them into letting me 'tele-commute' two days a week. I can make an argument that, they should keep me on. Why change the accounting staff while they're trying to get profitable and will need me more than ever.
I'll offer them a 15% cut in my pay, not to mention the fact that they'll save money on Payroll taxes (I'll be a contractor) AND benefits.
Not to mention the restaurant & Lounge I should be able to get running w/in the quarter. All the work for the restaurant & lounge is KILLING me, but it could be VERY profitable....
The gubment job will be JO #1 40hrs a week and the majority of my income
The start-up I'm leaving will me JO#2 prolly be about 10hrs a week about 15% of my income.
The restaurant, is not yet up and running and be anywhere from 0 - 20 hrs a week and will represent anywhere from 0 - 110% of my income. Depending on whether or not I can bend the landlord over and how FAR I can bend him over on the rent.
So that's why I'm *this* close to the 2nd - haven't raised the prospect w/my employers yet - and closing in on my 3rd. I swear to gog, if I can pull all this off. I'ma be on some kanye "can't tell me nothing" shit.
