If you know you’re gonna be on TV playing sports, either delete your old tweets— no one’s going to search them for anything cool/good— or take thirty minutes, search your name with about fifteen to twenty bad/offensive words, and delete those. Or have someone at the school do it for you! You’re a high-level recruit!

I don’t mind kids saying dumb shit when they’re young, because Lord knows I did. But in the year 2019, not cleaning up your Twitter feed from your youth is absolutely insane. Soooooo many athletes have seen this happen. HOW HAS EVERY ATHLETE NOT LEARNED BY NOW.

Furthermore, I know HS football and basketball coaches who *do this for their kids* when they’re getting recruited. It should be mandatory. It’s so so so so simple that I don’t blame people for questioning the intelligence of an athlete and his people for allowing those tweets to still exist.
