Players should be able to sell their shoes. I could sell my shoes on eBay, so should these dudes. *shrug*
I laughed when I read it, because it's UNC and they're so hilariously flagrant with their various violations, but this really shouldn't be a violation in the first place, so I could give a shit about it. Let the kids sell their shoes.
And before anyone brings up the common (tired) counter of "BUT THEN BOOSTERS COULD BUY THOSE SHOES AND IT'D GIVE THE BIG SCHOOLS AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE"-- 1. big schools already have an unfair recruiting advantage, this wouldn't change that, 2. boosters already help kids out, both in above board ways (improving facilities, equipment, etc) and below board ways (gifts, cash, etc), so we may as well let these kids get paid on the record, and 3. if you're using the potential for recruiting advantages as a reason to prevent these kids from getting paid, your priorities are misplaced.
