I like this deal for the Jays, we get a 5 tool player back in a division where he excelled. Back in a type of stadium where he excelled. I see his numbers going up this year even more than they already have.

People keep wondering where he's gonna play,...u are gonna see him in the outfield when Bautista or Saunders are DH. When Pillar is sitting out he'll be in CF and Smoak will DH/1B. When Bats and Saunders are playing you'll prob see Upton DH. I think he'll have regular playing time regardless.

This is also insurance in case Bats, Saunders or EE leave next year. Better than relying on Carerra to replace Jose or Saunders.
