23. "Strangely, on defense, Henson is still better than Chandler." In response to In response to 20 Tue Nov-07-17 12:29 PM by Frank Longo
I know Chandler won DPOY like five seasons ago, but he's been downhill quickly since getting to Phoenix.
Henson has a DEFRTG of 104, averages 9.2 DREBs and 2.7 BLKs per 36. Chandler has a DFRTG of 110 (his career worst has been getting worse for three consecutive seasons, can't be a coincidence), averages 8.7 DREBs and .8 BLKs per 36.
He's more efficient at putting the ball in the cup than Henson and he's got a wider body, true, but he's slow as absolute fuck and can't move his feet anymore. He can't run the floor. He's got a negative +/- on both ends of the floor and he's worse than Alex Len at this point.
(He's also signed through next season, when he'll be 36, for over 13 million per year. Henson isn't the answer, but he's cheaper, younger, and, as mind-boggling as it sounds, better than Chandler.)
