And they don't need him to do a whole lot of that, that's kinda Lonzo's job. Last year the D'Angelo-Clarkson backcourt never worked that's how Nick Young ended up starting. Clarkson's skillset is similar to Russell's and that's why he's better coming off the bench with the 2nd unit.
