"Stop crying, "superteams" are as old as the NBA itself..."
How the hell you think Bill Russell got 11 rings? You think he got them by himself? No, he was on a damn superteam. 12 of of Russell's former teammates are in the Hall of Fame. In order to beat them you have to have a superteam and the St Louis Hawks put 4 HOF'ers together to beat them in 1958. The 67 Warriors had to put 3 HOF'ers around Wilt to build a superteam to beat them.
Oscar Robinson was arguably the best basketball player in the world in the 60's but he didn't win until he went to Milwaukee to team up with Kareem to make a superteam.
After losing in the Finals 7 out of 10 years the Lakers went out and got Wilt Chamberlain to team up with Jerry West to make a superteam. To keep up with them, the Knicks who had beat them 2 years before, went out and got Jerry Lucas and Earl the Pearl to play with the 4 HOF'ers they already had to make another damn superteam.
The Lakers and Celtics of the 80's were superteams. The Sixers team that beat them 83 was a superteam.
Folks need to stop crying about the Warriors and KD when what they did is no different than what has gone on throughout NBA history.
