Also, some schools' lacrosse players could absolutely argue they deserve money. Same for things like crew, hockey, etc. Maybe tennis? (I don't know what the big tennis schools are.) It could open a pretty large can of worms in terms of university expense.
Right to profit should solve most of those discrepancies anyway, as booster groups could pay whatever base amount to players in whatever sports they want, perhaps even add incentives (x amount of money for everyone on the team if they make the Final Four! etc). People think this would change the layout of college sports, but... they're wrong. The schools with the biggest booster programs already get the biggest recruits. Nothing would change except for the legal exchange of cash for services.
