The Walls of Jericho- the *real* Walls of Jericho- puts the guy on his face at a vertical angle while Jericho holds his leg and puts his knee on the other guys head. It looks like this:
I dunno when he switched it to the Boston Crab, but I've hated it ever since. At any rate, even the Boston Crab is significantly different from the Sharpshooter, as the sharpshooter puts significantly more direct pressure on the knees in addition to the ankles. From a psychology standpoint, this is a significant difference as a Boston Crab guy would emphasize damaging his opponents back (though a Half Crab would definitely do some serious knee damage) in the match while a Sharpshooter guy would ideally work the legs a lot more.
Far as the RKO/Diamond cutter and the Stunner, they're both "cutter" finishers but the RKO/Diamond variation is much more athletic and dynamic, can generally be hit from any angle at any point in a match, requires no kick to the stomach to setup and brings the opponents entire body crashing to the mat, including his face. Psychologically it creates a believable finish that can be used at any time in a match do the the surprise factor. DDP in particular made that his gimmick and basically built his career off of the creative ways and moments he'd hit his finish.
