This is a vivid piece. It definitely evokes a sense of regret, disappointment, and maybe even a touch of despair. But that is all obvious. What is less obvious is that underneath all of that, is a sense of hope. For example, your title is "separation," which implies that there might be a chance of reunion. Also, the fact that you would rather use your own tears than those of the significant other show that you are willing to accept what has happened. This to me is like letting the emotions express so that they can run out of juice. instead of fighting them, which delays expression, you are letting them be. It's all very zen, from my perspective. Great piece, my friend.
