I always noticed that comedies/comedians get snubbed by the Academy. I once heard Chris Rock say that he thought Eddie Murphy should have gotten an Academy award for his performance in "Nutty Professor." I never thought about it in that regard but looking back on him portraying several different characters was pretty impressive...although I thought his performance in "Coming to America" was better overall.

I can't think of a comedy film that was deserving of an Oscar, maybe one of Woody Allen film's perhaps.
