the most recognizable part of The Simpsons theme is right there at the beginning of 'Song to John - Pt. 2,' clear as day:

clearly this is old news, right? this is my first time hearing it, but with all the jazz snobs and Simpsons nerds out there, it'd be hard to believe no one else has picked up on it. is either Stanley or Danny Elfman (The Simpsons' composer) on record anywhere mentioning this?
