"Name A Great Artist who fell off by breaking up with a collaborator..."

or Collaborator(s)? That is, an artist was making fantastic music but decided to move on from a collaborator (or collaborators) only for us to discover that maybe the collaborator(s) were partly responsible for that artist's greatness (at least for a period of time).

I am thinking all of them?

Or to put another way, how often do Artists fall off because they stop listening to the people around them that they collaborated with during their period of greatest? I am thinking all of the time?
