No post on the last standing guitar rock band from the aughts with both critical and commercial acclaim?
Last record did numbers but I ain't like it too much; I get the AM radio vibe they were going for tho.
This one they drafted Mark Ronson to make their 'dance' album and on paper it could work; queens always had a good sense of syncopated rhythm and many of their songs soundtracked many a tattoo'ed dancer in non-hip-hop strip clubs. First few singles seemed pretty lifeless and generic
...but this album here as a whole? Fire. Those singles work well in the context of the album there's so many good ass hooks thrown around..its a pretty work of art
