There's nothing weird about that....If u know the history of P/Mike u would no that they would hang out from time to time...No, they were not buddies like some of their fanboys paint them out to be...But there was a mutual respect...Mike routinely sent P Sly Stone concert video footage...P would always make sure Mike had tickets to his shows whenever he was in LA...

Up until that point in the '80s P and Mike made it their business to say NOTHING in public about one another...That Prince "Bad" quote that u r slinging around was said to Quincy Jones....That was Prince keeping it politically correct...It wasn't until 88-89-90 that P and Mike got very public with the stinging barbs (Mike in the Moonwalker movie and P in the "Party Man" video)...But before that period they both made it a point to keep their opinions on each other's actual output to themselves...

That was Prince again being "nice....political"....Because when he was being asked about that (late '90s, Chris Rock) MJ was going through HELL...This also fits into the same period when Prince was being one of MJ's lone peers to stick up for Mike (during that press conference where a Howard Stern plant asked him a Mike question)....He even made it a point to say "I don't comment on Michael publicly, but...." and that's when he said we should wait on making judgement on Mike and be cool and respectful....

The same Prince that did this^^^^could still think that "Bad" was a shit song...

Of course he wouldn't shine...IT'S MIKE'S FUCKING SONG....lol...And u can't separate the video from the song like u attempted to do in another post....Mike wanted P to play Wesley....We all saw how Wesley came out on that end....The video was going to be THE major platform for the Mike/Prince showdown that everyone wanted to see....That was part of Q's/Mike's original pitch....But Prince was smart enough to say no....
