"dirty diana: the story about how MJ fucked a groupie. "
i didn't realize this as a kid, but he clearly banged her between the second and third verses.
first verse, she's pushing up on him. he's been down this road before... but he says this time, she won't be successful.
the second verse is him telling himself that she does this for everybody, and that he really should know better.
then an anguished cry. a scream of her name... and then the song drops down to a tone with those synth strings that sounds like that post-nut moment of clarity...
michael jackson is now crying on the record. taking about how he can't go home with her to go to sleep because his girl is waiting on him at home.
i always assumed that the protagonist of this record was resisting diana's advances. but my buddy explained to me that he probably didn't. at least not successfully. and anyway, once another woman picks up the phone and tells your girlfriend that "your man ain't coming home because she's sleeping with me," at that point you might as well stay out.
because nobody would believe that story. actually, the more i think about it... i don't believe it either.
the protagonist in MJ records was always up to more dirt than he let on.
