"What 10yr+ old hiphop act walks the best line at live shows?"
I'm just staring at this "Black Star at the Fox Theatre in Oakland" banner ad and I'm remembering seeing them last year at The Fox and leaving the show feeling old and underwhelmed...which sucks because 1) I don't really go out to shows like I used to and I felt like I struck out and 2) a lot of people, young and old looked like they were having a good time. That being said, I saw them when I was in college and that shit just came out and I knew the show wouldn't live up to that...and I don't really want this to turn into a personal psychoanalysis so I know, I'm old, shit changes... The funny part about it is I might have been the only one who wanted to hear some new shit...I mean, I wouldn'tve walked out without seeing DEfinition but it seemed to me like the show was just kinda unrehearsed and they hadn't really rapped together since that one album... ANYWAY
All I want to know is what current touring hiphop artists are able to balance new and old material in a way that keeps you going back to see them?
