the concept that every decade's happenings and trends are cyclical is a false belief imo. i don't know why people have such a hard time accepting this, maybe it's control, but NEW things and NEW dynamics never seen before DO occur. so while there might be one small parallel everything else is circumstantially different in every way. that does not make for a plausible comparison. there are plenty of decades in the last 100 years alone that never saw "revivals" and i'm sure that is the case through-out history. some revivals are immediate. people had drawn divisive lines between the 80's/now (at the time) in the early 90's. thus, forging what ended up becoming considered "80's" for the last 20 years. it is not fact that it takes x amount of years before "revivalism" to occur. imo there is not going to be a 00's revival. there will be stupid 90's babys who talk about it like it was worthy because they know nothing else and everything is continuing to deteriorate, but that is it. i mean by 2007 a significant portion of the 00's itself realized it's own irrelevancy and worthlessness and just started doing hokey copies of the 1980's/early 1990's. so revivals of 80's revivalism? lol.
