Not every single thing will have a revival. Especially if it's a black thing as black people tend to discard past stars, especially if they didn't crossover. NJS was a black thing, mostly. But some of those acts still do small tours and get love from 30-40 year olds.

White people were dancing to Neptunes, Timbaland and Lil Jon so those songs should have legs into the future for novelty and nostalgia's sake.

As far as hair metal, plenty of those fools have been active in reality TV and things like that. Even Tiffany and Debbie Gibson got some...exposure (corny pun intended)
