You seem to be flexible with your music listening patterns, which I applaud. I wish I were there myself.
But my problem is that between the shift in music technology, and my steady aging / maturing out of popular music culture, the energy needed to shift my listening process isn't strong enough to overcome inertia.
I pine for the old days, and like the posters have said, the modern way is just different for both good and bad reasons. Things aren't the same now because they *can't* be the same.
But the truth, for me at least, is that music doesn't hold the prominence in my sense of enrichment as it did. And either because of age or change in values, I don't care enough to change.
