I started buying tapes and shit early in life but I was 11 or 12 when I first heard Jimi and it literally changed my life. He is still my favorite artist of all time. Dude was not of this world. He also deepened my appreciation of other artists, most notably Rahsaan Roland Kirk, whom he admired tremendously and now so do I. RIP to the greatest fucking rock star EVER.
