but I'm afraid he might have conceded too much with this album.
I don't want to say yet...I've had a hard time sitting down and listening to it and paying attention...but that track had me pumping all kinds of breaks.
That's the kind of schitt that will increase ticket sales though, and KEEP pitchfork on his lap...just like the "blow job press" he got earlier this year.
It just takes that edge out of the equation though.
Like that world he created on XXX...it's Michigan...this time of year, cats are restless, experimental.
I didn't think XXX was "strip hop" at all. At all.
It sounded like some weird mash up of 3 a.m. CBC programming/Detroit overnight radio and lots of dope.
This one...the tracks try to capture the ethos of XXX but forgo THAT WORLD. In exchange for it...the experimental stuff feels more generic in a "strip hoppy" way to me.
It's clear Danny learned a lot from his brush with G-Unit about how the game worked, but I'll never forget Mainframe playing me "I can't find my mind" and thinking..."HOLY SCHITT!!!" it was so next level, now...it's like he's stuck on tour and on that posse cut from A$AP's album.
I don't know.
s.blak I Know Niggas On Linwood Right Today Though.
