Say Prince debuted in 2010 or so. Do you think he'd last with the way his career went in the beginning?

If we translate the sales of his first album to the download era, would he even be around
to make a second? His first 4 albums were biggest on the "black" charts. Would that
be enough to carry him in this era?

He would probably be an indie darling, though.

He most likely wouldn't be able to get his label to put up money for a major motion picture,
so no Purple Rain.

Then again, he might change his whole approach in this era.

As talented as he is, in this era where talent doesn't matter at all, how would he fare?
