I think he's a very accessible persona to a casual listener, there's gonna be a song that the uninitiated can groove to, you can give a sense of history while presenting a modern delivery, and it's easy to show a novice why he's great, on paper or on record.

That said, when I discuss emceeing with my students, I usually use Mos Def's "Speed Law."
