"I'm kind of disappointed in us. " Tue Sep-27-16 10:15 AM by double negative
And by "us" I mean Americans.
I just read about "the football" so I'm kind of on edge. I'm now even more aware of the serious implications of what it means to be a president and when the question of "first strike policy" came up in the debate, shit got really real for me.
And yet, we're all just focusing on how things make us feel instead of how things are.
As the country unpacks last night's debate I can't escape the feeling that most Americans have unrealistic expectations.
There is an overwhelming sensation that the debates were seen more like a heavyweight boxing event and less of a crossroads for the spiritual direction of this country.
I've read through several threads and it seems like both sides wished for more low level bickering or more personal attacks.
"Hillary could have stomped a mud hole in his chest after he said ____________ "
"Trump should have embarrassed her after she said ________"
People are confusing entertainment with politics.
This is some real shit and in a way I relate it to the way people felt Obama should have just "nutted up" and thugged on fools which is frankly why people like Trump because he just says whatever the fuck
you can't just say whatever the fuck....
I keep thinking about "when they go low, we go high" and how really people are upset that our leaders don't start duking it out.
Like....if you don't sit yo monkey ass down right now...
