"I take it back, there is such a thing as "Talking White""
And my niece does it now. She didn't do it before going to her fancy schmancy private school, now she does.
And by "Talking White" I don't mean using proper grammar and English, I mean inflection, tone, up talking and her filler words like "like".
We reflexively get mad when we hear about someone being accused of "talking white" but it is a thing and it's a thing that doesn't necessarily have to do with speaking proper English.
Is it a big deal? No, of course not but am I wrong for not wanting my kids to talk white?
