"Has Walmart ever stolen from you?" Wed Dec-17-14 12:12 AM by Doronmonkflake
I thought about this in the thread about the walmart shoplifter shooting. The point was raised that Walmart has a right to defend their merchandise.
Fine. But, on more than one occasion, I have shopped at Walmart and bought like a cartful of stuff and got home to see a bag missing. That I paid for. And then I have to drive back and get my stuff because they don't hand you bags. They fill them in that little carousel and spin it. It's up to you to really pay attention and make sure you got everything you paid for. I've never seen it anywhere else.
So if it happens to me and this lady more than once, extrapolate how many times a day Walmart just gets a straight up cash donation in their millions upon millions of sales and restocks the merchandise with the consumer none the wiser? In big states with small towns, 50-60 miles apart sometimes. Not everybody is gonna go back.
And then I found this. K-Mart tried to get in on this little cash grab and Walmart got pissy and sued.
