34. "RE: What are your favorite albums of all time?" In response to In response to 0
There are a few albums that always come to mind when I ask myself this question for their own reasons.
First is always Reflection Eternal's Train of Thought, not just because it's a classic album, but because it is pretty much the reason I started caring about music and the album experience the way that I did, and Kweli and Hi Tek were my gateway to all other related artists and Okayplayer as a result.
Modest Mouse's The Lonesome Crowded West is an album I feel is the most complete full album as an experience start to finish as one entire experience, I do not listen to any song from it individually because they are all better to me in the context of the album.
Glossary - The Better Angels of our Nature (one of my favourite obscure band discoveries)
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot it in People
Pretty recent, but I'm almost certain Angel Olsen's My Woman will stay on a list like this for me.
Foreign Exchange - Authenticity Book of Ryan probably, if I think about it.
I could think more about this. It's hard to pick an album from some artists discographies in my head for something like this.
