does something being funny make it ok to be racist

other day there was a convo about giving folks passes to the proverbial cookout...

with that in mind, do these guys "get a pass" on the basis that what they produced is both clever (as a parody of 90s-era chatlines) and funny

further, in your opinion

does it lose any funny when lil miss sunshine lip-syncs it (as in the last video)? when she grows up and gets mollywhopped for all that neck swinging and circle-snapping is that out of order then (on some but it was cool on youtube...)?

all that business about appropriation comes to mind, when whitefolks do their "gangsta" voices is that a laugh with, or a laugh at?

for me? all of it gets a big fat hmmmmmmm...
