Part of me gets it. At face value that statement applies in the majority of countries
Then you might end up with millions of stateless children, where country X might say "the baby wasn't born in country X, therefore it's not a citizen of country X even if the parents are"
There's also the issue of precedent and the slippery slope
Start with the low hanging fruit (brown illegals that everyone hates) Move on to restricting permanent residents Next, naturalized citizens (*raises hand*)
A year or so ago everyone was up in arms over the DR implementing a similar policy towards Haitians
Now? it's just illegal Hispanics so fuck em Nobody's talking about the Russians and Chinese coming over during the 8th month, delivering the baby, and bouncing back
