in the land of slack and gif speak/plugins there's more room than ever for non blacks to colorfully communicate with the coupla' blacks in their lives.

I understand that culturally 'we' influence the masses. with words/phrases like 'bling bling', songs like 'gold digger' and of course heavily consumed rap music.

what all that consumptions does is puts us in the direct line of sight for silly shit that people pass off as 'jokes'.

i hate it.

specifically, what the fuck is up with non blacks sending shit like this to me?

this shit sent me through the roof.

i don't even want to type about how non-sensical it is to equate eminem as the pope of that group - but more over - where's the joke??? why is this being shared???

needless to say i stopped talking to the bamma who sent me this for weeks.

not just stopped talking to the nigga, i started giving him my back.

it's an open office and we work directly next to each other - and i just started turning my back on the bamma everytime he spoke or tried to make a joke to the group.

it was hilarious to me, but i think i hurt the half asian nigga's feelings.

what's worse is the bamma that sent this is sort of a supervisor to me.

i guess he noticed how i started treating him and he sent me a email about he's sorry if he said anything that offended me - he just wants to get along, blanblanbla. matter fact, here's that:

so, first, im floored.

i been treating the bamma like shit for weeks, and he's just now sending me this email.

im also embarrassed.

i realized, i shouldn't have been so passive agressive.

but now, im confused.

the alternative to passive agression is for me to tell him how corny, tone-deaf, vulturrish and just generally uncool i think he is.

AND that he has no business circulating these dumb ass 'black' jokes.

i dont want to police everything he sends out, but i do want to tell him i dont be liking NO memes. and that's a lie. cause some memes are funny. but these aint.

... so here now im here. asking for help.

how do i tell people (perhaps in the future) that - even though im the blackest thing they've probably ever met - i'm very not interested in these dumbass black jokes they think are funny.

more importantly, how do i do that without someone looking at me like 'daaaamn nigga, it's just a joke.'?
