In Cheikh Anta Diop's "The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality", he points out Egyptian glyphs that separate man by "race", if you will, placing them according to their closeness to Divinity. The Egyptian, obviously, was closest to the Divine, with the Nubian African next, the Asian and others, then finally the white man which was, IIRC, depicted as a barbarian of sorts and furthest away from the Divine.
I'll really need to pick up that book again since I've lost it. It's a good read.
