"HUM"

I'm getting massive hum whenever I play records, and connecting the ground doesn't have any effect. What gives, does anyone know? Can you have a faulty ground? I'm running a 1200mk2 into a Vestax mixer.

thanks for any help

Is it not a band stop filter centered at 60 Hz (or 50Hz)?
