I wasn't postin' with the thought that someone with the knowledge of intervals wasn't tryin' to learn chords. It was kinda of ment for someone that didn't really have knowledge of the board really, something a person could use quickly as a startin' point for chords. Not a professional chord lesson from an instructor or anything, that's why I put something I use.

Okay let me clear it up than C-E-G / in Intervals 1-3-5 in a half step count 4,3 no 1 added just 4,3 a m or minor chord works the same way in intervals just flatten the 3rd white key like Silk said. So a C minor chord would be 1-b3-5 / in a half step count 3,4 no 1 added just 3,4. A Cmaj7 or C Major 7th uses the same three notes as a C Major chord (C-E-G) just with a added note (B) which is the 7th white key on the board. The Cm7 or C minor 7th works a lil different because the 7th is flattened along with it's flattened 3rd.
