He could make political music, intropective music, straight gangsta/thug type shit, love songs, Too $hort-esque sex songs, party joints, etc. There weren't too many types of hip-hop songs that 2Pac didn't pull off successfully.

Define "furthered hip-hop culture". He has as much (or damn close to) as much influence as any of the above cats (How many MCs rap about being thugs now? Is it even possible to count?)
