I remember watching Rap City the day they premiered Trapped. I got in my Hyundai and bought the tape that day. Played the hell out of it. Would still listen to it today. Come to think of it I have EVERY Pac album he did while he was alive. On video I have a performance of his on SNL with a live band featuring Roger. I'm not speaking as an observer, I'm speaking as a participator. Great is such a relative term. My definition is probably different. I've been called a Tupac hater many times and I would strongly disagree. May Allah be please with Pac and his family. BUT needless to say I lost a lot of respect for him because of his words and actions. Does that make me forget his talent. Hell no. The main reason I dislike DMX is because he's biting Pac's style. Let the brother rest in piece. I hate the fact that his memory is picked upon by the vultures. But beyond anything I'm a music LOVER. I love music that will live forever and has touched my life in a special way. Pac's just doesn't. I look at Pac as the tragic story of a young man lead astray that new better ie Vibe magazine interview. Next thing you know he's rolling with big Suge and now he's super blood. Riding for the West. Talkin bout Compton swap meets and all. I was there at the KDAY functions and all. Dr. Dre used to DJ dances at my high school. I was there. Pac wasn't. I definitely know what I'm talkin about.
