"How do you set up a Windows PC for an elderly person?"
Over the weekend I helped my mother's friend buy a new computer and router and iPod.
She's 65+ with poor eyesight.
Purchased a Gateway NV57H22u (15.6" 1366x76, 4gb Ram, 2.2GHz Intel® Core™ i3) for $399.99.
She had a very hard time finding the mouse pointer. I turned on mouse-trailing and it seemed to help a little.
iTunes hate: iTunes is just way confusing for her. The concept of playlsits, the store, the sync button, etc is bad. And that they text is small and on the right, and the main content window is context aware (Library shows music on the machine, Store show iTunes store, the iPod device shows the iPod) is very confusing to her.
Q: What do you suggest to do to help an elderly person use a computer easier?
