See this is my point, reading reviews some people swear by one particular brand while others vehetmentaly say stay away. That's why I'm apprehensive as to what to do for my sister cause she knows even less than I do. Why does one paticular brand work for some and not others. Is this stuff like cars where two of the same model and one person has no problems whatsoever, and another person has nothing but problems.

I don't know if it is important to mention that the laptop is used for general browsing, banking, watching tv or movies, some light use of word or excel. My sister is afraid that with the banking someone could steal her information, and I don't know what to say to put her mind at ease.
