I had to use it recently because the Sony Blu-Ray player we just got was supposed to be WiFi ready, but it only has a USB port for a wireless USB adapter. Apparently, it requires a proprietary Sony model adapter at that. So, its either that or Ethernet.
So, using DD-WRT, I setup an extra Linksys WiFi router I had sitting around, as a Client bridge. Works like a charm! The router picks up the signal from my other router, downstairs, and I plug the Blu-Ray player into one of the ports on the back of the one upstairs. Take that Sony!
