Yes, it's overkill. The biggest problem so far is figuring out where to stash this thing. It like 2 feet deep, so finding an out of the way spot to stash it and run it to the switch is going to take some doing. After that it's a matter of configuration and storage. It came with 2 160 gb drives and 2 500 gb drives, most likely in some RAID configuration for the company at the time. I can move everything from the WHS11 box and have that shared, along with running my BitTorrent and Skifta off of that, but with 2 CPUs (still need to figure out the clock on both) that still seems like overkill.

The biggest thing is figuring out what I need to make a backup of my wife's MBP on this server. On the one hand, there's not much she's going to lose that she doesn't already have on Dropbox, but on the other hand, I have a purpose built server, so I may as well wring everything I can out of it
